FLYBYEAR

Fly By Ear

I am currently developing an audio based game called ‘Fly By Ear’ with my colleague, Akshay Bharwani. The goal of developing this game is to make it accessible for people with visual impairments. This game is being made with the support of the 'Codes, Creativity, Communities' programme by Goethe-Institut, India. The testing support and guidance is provided by the Xavier’s Resource Center for the Visually Challenged, Mumbai.

Fly By Ear also won the ADCxIndia & Music Hack Day 2024's best creative hack prize, where it was modified to be playable on a smartphone device using its gyroscope.

Virtual Experience Museum of Ajanta

 

A virtual museum based on the 2000 year old Ajanta Caves, gave me the opportunity to create a sonic experience that frees itself from the presumptions and expectations of music and sound design in popular art forms. It also posed a wonderful challenge of amalgamating the imagined music of the past with the music of today.

Making music for ads is almost always about tight deadlines, strict track lengths and being catchy. Strangely, the combination of the three makes the process surprisingly fun.
